Job Details

Daily activities will include the development and integration methods for reducing the recurring and non-recurring cost and time associated with executing computer-aided design CAD/ computer-aided manufacturing CAM from design to manufacturing.

Primary Responsibilities:
Document and develop design to manufacturing integrations through CAD/CAM systems or other process documentation systems, work with MI Team to interpret business requirements into design and manufacturing system functionality to reduce cost and schedule, test the functionality through multiple testing environments.
Configures and designs approaches and/or segments addressing engineering, manufacturing digital execution.
Leverage the team’s knowledge of design systems, manufacturing systems, software configuration, to maintain, and integrate new methods into the command media (Policy, Procedure, Work Instructions).
Examines system abilities, formulates operating instructions, and assembles documentation to determine the best methods of executing all forms of manufacturing transactions to meet design requirements.
Interfaces with manufacturing CAM users, design CAD users, programmers, IT architects, manufacturing and shop floor personnel requiring to establish knowledge and proficiency in design or manufacturing data execution.
Look for opportunities to improve digital process execution balanced with the practical integration with other major business systems.
Develop Power User requirements & curriculum to onboard and support additional team members

Required Education:
Prefer Bachelor’s degree in (Engineering, NC, Computer Science, Manufacturing Technology or similar degree field) OR at least 5 years of hands-on experience working with Manufacturing Execution software could be considered equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree

Required Skills/Experience:
  • At least 2+ years knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System software integration
  • Proficient understanding of design modeling and/or manufacturing model development, use case development, test case development, and testing.
  • Extensive understanding of CAD/CAM including data movement from design models to manufacturing models with associated lifecycles for each artifact.
  • Working knowledge of the processes and workflows that are associated with manufacturing planning.
  • Develops process instructions for software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
  • Familiarity with software engineering and best practices for development of process automation, including build processes, testing and operation.
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal/communication skills required
  • Ability to be a strong team leader fostering a cohesive team, recognizing, and adapting to the needs and pace of the business
  • Must be able to influence multiple disciplines and demonstrate exemplary attitude and conduct with respect to attendance, job assignments and support of all company efforts.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of Dassault Systems (3DX, CATIA, DELMIA), SAP (PEO)
  • Prior experience solving complex problems with multi-layered data sets, libraries, and frameworks.
  • Experience with Project Management software: Primavera or MS Project
