Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes, reduce waste, and increase overall efficiency.
2. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
3. Implement Six Sigma methodologies to enhance production quality and eliminate defects.
4. Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
5. Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
6. Communicate with design staff regarding product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
7. Coordinate and drive new product introduction, ensuring smooth transition from design to production stage.
8. Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing process deviations and implement corrective actions.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, quality and production issues.
10. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess efficiency and effectiveness of current production systems and processes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Manufacturing Processes, Six Sigma, cycle time reduction, and new product introduction.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to apply statistical techniques to improve production processes.
5. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead projects to successful completion.
6. Knowledge of CAD/CAM technology, manufacturing methods and procedures.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical ideas and results to non-technical team members and stakeholders.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with ERP systems.
9. Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) is a plus.
10. Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills.
