Manufacturing Product Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Product Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing and developing innovative products that meet the needs of our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing new products, as well as improving existing ones. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new products from concept to production using Solidworks and other design software
• Conduct design failure mode analysis and implement corrective actions
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet customer requirements and are cost-effective to manufacture
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and quality teams
• Develop and maintain product documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
• Participate in product development meetings and provide input on design and manufacturing feasibility
• Continuously improve product designs and manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in product design and development in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in Solidworks and other design software
• Experience with fabrication and sheet metal design
• Knowledge of product development processes and design for manufacturability
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Strong project management skills
