JOB SUMMARY: Focuses on translating the sales forecast into the master schedule and inventory strategy. Trains and implements new ERP capabilities within the planning team. Creates the inventory strategy and balances service levels with cash.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generates and manages the master schedule.
- Leads ERP training and implementation of modules within the planning team.
- Work closely with Sales to analyze the forecast and impacts to capacity.
- Develop and implement an inventory stock strategy balancing service levels and cash.
- Present data and issues clearly to all levels of the organization.
- Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.
- Maintains master distribution schedule for the organization; revises as needed and alerts
- Works independently under minimal supervision and be a self-starter.
- Lead and assist in special projects.
- Assist in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to a variety of changing situations
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- BS in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or other related field.
- Prefer 5 at least years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and working with an MRP/ERP system. Extremely proficient with production planning systems, such as MRP
- Understand purchasing, MRP, continuous improvement methodology, inventory control
- Understands inventory and lot control.
- Proficient computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment including Office (Word & Excel).
- APIC’s certification preferred.
- Ability to write and read English
