We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Material Testing Project Manager to join our Energy industry team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a thriving, innovative company that excels in the provision of materials testing, special inspection, field inspection, and sampling & testing of soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, etc. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing high-level projects within the Construction Materials Testing and/or Geotechnical sector. This role demands a high degree of technical expertise, leadership and project management skills, and a passion for the energy industry.


As a Material Testing Project Manager, you will:

1. Oversee and manage all aspects of material testing projects from initiation to completion.
2. Coordinate with different teams and stakeholders to ensure project goals and objectives are met within agreed-upon time, scope, and resource requirements.
3. Conduct field inspections and testing of soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, etc., ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
4. Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
5. Design and maintain technical and project documentation.
6. Lead and manage the project team to deliver on project deliverables, ensuring efficient use of resources.
7. Ensure quality assurance processes are implemented and followed.
8. Communicate and report project status to stakeholders, providing regular updates and handling any issues that arise.
9. Continually improve project management toolkits and methodologies used within the organization.


To be considered for the Material Testing Project Manager role, you must have:

1. A minimum of 5 years' leadership, management, and/or project management experience in Construction Materials Testing and/or Geotechnical.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the Energy industry.
3. Demonstrated experience in materials testing, special inspection, field inspection, and sampling & testing of soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, etc.
4. A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited engineering / ABET school is preferred, but not required.
5. Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
7. A thorough understanding of industry regulations and standards.
8. Proficiency in project management software tools.
9. The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
10. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.
12. A professional project management certification would be a plus.
