Mechanical Buyer

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Buyer to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical buying, and procurement. As a Mechanical Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing mechanical components and materials for our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Source and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best quality and cost-effective mechanical components and materials are procured for our manufacturing processes.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure that the materials and components are delivered on time and meet the required specifications.
• Work closely with the engineering team to understand the technical requirements of the materials and components needed for our manufacturing processes.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure that we have the right amount of materials and components on hand to meet production needs.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Keep up to date with industry trends and developments to ensure that we are using the latest and most cost-effective materials and components.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical buying, procurement, and metal industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of mechanical components and materials used in the manufacturing industry.
