We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Permanent Mechanical Commissioning Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the engineering industry, specifically within the healthcare and/or education sectors. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented and has a strong understanding of mechanical testing, script development, and building automation systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of mechanical commissioning, ensuring that all systems and components are designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements of the owner and occupant.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs.
  • Conduct mechanical testing and develop mechanical test schedules to ensure that all systems and components are functioning at optimal levels.
  • Develop and implement script development for building automation systems.
  • Perform performance acceptance testing and QA/QC to ensure the quality and efficiency of our systems.
  • Conduct thorough equipment inspections to ensure all components are up to standard and functioning correctly.
  • Develop and execute test scripts to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Manage controls and CxAlloy for all mechanical commissioning projects.
  • Oversee the facility grid to ensure all systems are operating efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the engineering industry, preferably in the healthcare and/or education sectors.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with mechanical testing, script development, mechanical test schedule, building automation systems, performance acceptance testing, QA/QC, equipment inspection, test scripts, OSHA, controls, CxAlloy, and facility grid.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Valid professional engineer’s license.
