Mechanical Drafter - Revit

We are seeking a Mechanical Drafter with drafting/modeling experience using Revit. This includes basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, chilled water, steam, and compressed gas systems. This position will work directly with a Senior Engineer and/or Mechanical Designer on design projects, as well as engaging with other discipline team members.

Job Details:

As a Mechanical Drafter, you will play an integral role in our engineering team, responsible for creating detailed technical drawings using Revit and AutoCAD. You will work closely with a team of experienced engineers and architects on a variety of innovative projects, primarily focused on food storage and refrigeration systems. Your primary focus will be on drafting and designing HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, and other mechanical components. This is a full-time, permanent position requiring a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare detailed mechanical drawings using Revit and AutoCAD, ensuring that they meet company and industry standards.
2. Work closely with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and develop detailed mechanical designs.
3. Use Navisworks for project review and coordination, ensuring all aspects of the design are integrated and functional.
4. Assist in the development and design of food storage and refrigeration systems, ensuring they meet all safety and efficiency standards.
5. Participate in project meetings, providing updates on project progress and addressing any issues or concerns.
6. Continually update and revise designs as needed based on project feedback and changes.
7. Collaborate with other team members to ensure the successful completion of projects.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in mechanical drafting and design.

Qualifications:

1. Associates Degree in Architecture or related field.
2. A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical Drafter, preferably in the food storage and refrigeration industry.
3. Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
4. Demonstrated experience with HVAC system design and drafting.
5. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including food storage and refrigeration systems.
6. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
10. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
11. Willingness to continue learning and developing new skills.
12. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to mechanical design.
