Mechanical Project Engineer

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field preferred
• 4+ years' supporting mechanical engineering related projects in the manufacturing space
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification preferred
• Strong communication skills - ability to interact with clients, vendors, outside contractors, etc...
• Proficiency with AutoCAD
• Experience with plastics is a huge plus

Day-to-day:

• Produce specifications and mechanical designs for equipment modifications
• Help manage capital projects including: design, budgeting, contractor selection/management, installation, commissioning, etc...
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams for installation of equipment
• Work with vendors and outside contractors to review bids
• Develop project proposals and define project objectives
