Mechanical/Piping Engineer

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• At least 2-4 years’ experience in industrial processes piping design
• Knowledge of Bentley AutoPlant & OpenPlant P&ID or equivalent CAD piping & P&ID programs
• Proficient in Autodesk Product Suite (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred)
• Good knowledge in MS-office applications (Excel, Word, Access)
• Ability to travel as required

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Additional CAD Program knowledge; Revit, Tekla, Solidworks, Vault, etc.
• Ability to read Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
• Familiarity with industrial equipment: boilers, conveyors, ductwork, heat exchangers, piping, kilns, structural steel, etc.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, hands on experience is especially valuable.
• Knowledge of the basic operating principles of thermal fluid systems such as Boilers, Thermal Oil Heaters, Kilns, etc.
• Knowledge of relevant codes; ASME, AISC, ASCE, TEMA
