Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team in Clinical Research. The successful candidate will be responsible for drawing blood, administering vaccines, and maintaining accurate documentation. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research and advancements in the scientific field. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who is committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

As a Full-time Phlebotomist, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Performing blood draws and other specimen collections in a professional, safe, and efficient manner.
2. Administering vaccinations as per the prescribed orders.
3. Accurately documenting all procedures performed, ensuring all information is correct and up-to-date.
4. Adhering to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
5. Assisting in the processing and handling of specimens for laboratory testing.
6. Maintaining patient confidentiality and following all HIPAA guidelines.
7. Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay current on the latest industry practices and standards.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant.
2. Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or Registered Phlebotomy Technician (RPT) certification is preferred.
3. Demonstrated proficiency in performing blood draws, administering vaccines, and other related procedures.
4. Excellent documentation skills with high attention to detail.
5. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
6. Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory information systems.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
8. Commitment to adhering to professional ethics, laws, regulations, and institutional policies.
