Job Details


A MEP Field Surveyor is responsible for working with an internal team of Architects and
Engineers to obtain existing field conditions of buildings and the utility.
Requirements: Field experience in construction. Excellent verbal communication, writing skills,
interpersonal, writing, problem solving, and critical thinking skills are required. Ability to work
independently in an efficient manner.
Responsibilities/Skills:
  • Effectively manage schedule to complete several time sensitive tasks daily.
  • Conduct physical site surveys using a variety of equipment and tools.
  • Prepare sketches, notes and perform electronic data collection.
  • Working knowledge of construction layout, cutsheets, survey calculations and data
collection.
  • May coordinate field staff.
  • Process field data.
  • Interface with building managers, contractors, engineers and architects.
  • Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted
at survey sites.
  • Prepare site surveying documents and present findings.
  • Willing to travel nationwide to service our clients.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, able to handle
stressful situations and multi-tasking, able to work under time constraints, long hours may be
required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by
an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Reasonable

functions. Overtime (40+ hours) may be required as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to handle stressful situations, multi-tasking, and working
within reasonable time constraints to meet production schedules and budgets. Will work in a
normal office environment.
