Location: South Georgia (Remote with Travel)
Salary Range: $60,000 – $80,000 (commensurate with experience and certifications)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Building Inspector to join our team. This position is responsible for inspecting modular buildings to ensure compliance with approved plans, applicable building codes, and manufacturer quality control programs. The role is home-based, with regular travel by automobile to client facilities across the region.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Building Inspector to join our team. This position is responsible for inspecting modular buildings to ensure compliance with approved plans, applicable building codes, and manufacturer quality control programs. The role is home-based, with regular travel by automobile to client facilities across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of modular buildings for compliance with all applicable codes and approved plans.
- Review and monitor building manufacturers’ quality control programs for adherence to established standards.
- Document inspection results, noting deficiencies and ensuring corrective measures are implemented.
- Apply knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and quality control standards across all trades.
- Collaborate with manufacturers, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain compliance and quality.
- Stay current with evolving building codes, inspection practices, and certification requirements.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in building inspections and/or construction required.
- Inspector certifications preferred; candidates must obtain Florida and ICC (International Code Council) certifications in all trades after hire.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and quality control standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle required.
Compensation & Growth:
- Salary range: $60,000 – $80,000, based on experience and certifications.
- Candidates without inspector certifications will begin at the lower end of the range, with salary increases awarded as certifications are achieved.
- Company provides training materials and covers the cost of certification exams.
- Ongoing salary growth tied directly to successful completion of ICC certifications, which are mandatory in several states.
