Superintendents are responsible for assisting the Lead Superintendent with the supervision, organization, planning, and scheduling of the physical execution of the work and the leadership and management of the field forces. Job Details

Superintendents must thoroughly understand the contract documents including the contract, all addenda, plans, and specifications. A Superintendent II should attend and participate in pre-construction meetings to establish a plan for smooth transitions between estimating/project management to the field.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Superintendent in the execution of all aspects of the project field operations including permits, risk management, miscellaneous duties, scheduling, cost control, issue resolution, meetings, reporting, and document control, site logistics, contractual correspondence, RFI, safety, quality, field support, commissioning, punch list, and owner closeout.
  • Assist the Lead Superintendent in the implementation of Landmark programs in collaboration with the construction operations department. Programs include Safety, Quality Management, and Scheduling.
  • Know and enforce all aspects of the Subcontract Agreements and their obligations to the project including scope and schedule.
  • Manage labor, equipment, and material resources within the approved budget. Assist in the development, management, and forecasting of labor, equipment, and material budgets.


  • Minimum of 5-7 years of construction experience with at least 3 years of supervisory experience. A minimum of 2 years of multi-family construction is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. A Bachelor’s degree and vocational training are preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills in word processing, accounting software, spreadsheets, scheduling software (P6/Primavera, Microsoft Project or equivalent), and job cost software (PROCORE, PROLOG, or equivalent).
  • Uphold a high level of professionalism and possess personal traits such as critical thinking, interpersonal, organization, ethics, results-driven, teamwork/collaboration, integrity/trust, strong execution, and leadership skills.
