Description:
The Network Administrator’s role is to ensure the stable operation of the company's networks. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. The person will also analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required.
Must have:
- 2+ years of Microsoft Azure Networking support experience.
- 2+ years of Cisco/Meraki experience.

What You'll Do:
- Perform network design and capacity planning.
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
- Install and maintain network servers and network operating systems.
- Provide second level technical support to users concerning network system operations.
- Diagnose problems with network equipment and performs equipment repair or upgrades when appropriate.
- Develop functional data recovery systems and techniques.
- Schedule and monitor backup of network data. Periodically restore files, applications, and the entire system on other network hardware to test backup facilities.
- Install, configure, and maintain network cabling and other networking equipment such as hubs, switches, and UPS.
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network connected end-user hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain IPS/IDS, Firewall, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, AntiMalware, etc. for maximum internal network protection.
- In conjunction with InfoSec, establish and enforce policies, procedures, and standards regarding LAN, WAN, security, and use of the organization's computer and information assets.
Qualifications:
- At least one industry certification (Net+, CCNA) (CCNP, CCIE).
- 3-5 years of verifiable networking experience, or a combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of this position.
- Operational knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and application virtualization.
- Operational knowledge of network and routing protocols.
- Operational knowledge of Windows Server and Azure Active Directory.
- Operational knowledge of switch configuration and programming.
- Intermediate PowerShell experience.
- 2+ years of Microsoft Azure Networking support experience.
- 2+ years of Cisco/Meraki experience.
- Ability to independently install software and hardware on networking equipment and microcomputers.
- Familiarity with a variety of networking and personal computer software.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on servers, computers, and peripheral equipment.
- Ability to communicate information to end users, colleagues, and senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability and desire to work as a member of a team and as a team of one.
Education and Certifications:
- Associate degree in computer science, or related field (B.S. preferred).
- At least one industry certification (Net+, CCNA) (CCNP, CCIE desired).
