We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Permanent Network Administrator to join our dynamic team. You will be an integral part of our IT department, managing and ensuring the stability and integrity of our in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to showcase their skills and contribute to our technological development.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Network Administrator, your responsibilities will include:
1. Designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the organization's LAN/WAN infrastructure.
2. Administering servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates, and patches.
3. Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
4. Configuring, testing, and maintaining LAN/WAN equipment and related services.
5. Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving network problems.
6. Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
7. Assisting in the design and implementation of new solutions and improving the resilience of the current environment.
8. Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
9. Arranging scheduled upgrades and investigating faults in the network.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Network Administrator position must have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a network administrator role.
2. Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
3. Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
4. Hands-on experience with the following technologies: CCNA, Azure, VDI, CCNP, Azure Active Directory, Meraki, Cisco, switch configuration, and switch programming.
5. Excellent hardware troubleshooting experience.
6. Competence in using routing protocols and routing table configuration.
7. Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
8. Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
9. Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
10. Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
11. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
12. Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
13. Strong customer service orientation.
14. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
