Job Details

We are currently on the hunt for a seasoned Oil & Gas Transactional Attorney to join our dynamic legal team.

This is a permanent, full-time position servicing land departments for large oil companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transactions and land departments in general. You should be skilled in redlining, closings, monitoring transactions, thinking through indemnities, and more.

In-house and big law candidates are encouraged to apply!

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in at least one state.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an oil and gas transactional attorney
  • Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating energy-related agreements, including purchase agreements, sale agreements, joint operating agreements, assignments, and more.
  • Ability to hit the ground running from day 1 with very little supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with clients.
  • A deep understanding of the energy industry, including trends, challenges, and regulatory environment.
  • The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and upholding the integrity of the legal profession.
