Construction Operations Team Overview:
The Construction Operations (Cx) team is embedded within the organization. The team takes a cross functional approach to solve some of the most complex challenges facing the organization. The Cx Team supports the enterprise with a focus on construction operations. The team works collaboratively across all functions (Program Management, R&D, Design, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing etc.) to continuously improve the end to end value chain.

Job Description:
This full time position will focus on both supporting field and back-office construction operations as well as interfacing with all departments of the organization to design & implement the construction operating model.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in lean manufacturing principles as well as a desire to work in a field environment. The candidate must display advanced aptitude in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management. Candidate must have exceptional intra and interpersonal communication skills, a strong work ethic, the ability to see business needs, and champion projects with minimal supervision. The candidate must be detail oriented, organized, and thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
We are seeking candidates for a full-time position, with occasional travel Monday – Thursday to jobsites across the United States, as required by the business. All travel expenses (flights, hotels, meals, etc) will be paid for by the company on a company credit card.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing, testing, validating, and documenting the Construction Operations strategy
  • Own cross function work streams across Construction. Program Management, R&D, Design, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing
  • Own & perform technical analysis of data streams for current and future construction practices
  • Report regularly on progress of individual & team accomplishments
  • Co-develop new processes covering all areas of the construction process including material handling, installation methods, productivity assessments and the commissioning and implementation of new tools and techniques.
  • Assist in the design & implementation of advanced construction schedules in a highly scalable way
  • Support the modeling and development of new products and processes through data collection, analysis, and impact analysis
Work with construction leads to develop Work Packages for Self-Perform trades
  • Improve construction processes to ensure the highest levels of product quality, process lead-time reductions, and cost savings through the use of lean tools; 6S, Kaizens, Six Sigma, Standard Work, and Total Quality Management applications as applicable.

Skills & Experience
  • Minimum Bachelor’s level degree
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering or similar Operations-focused degree preferred
  • 3+ years experience in Industrial/Operations/Construction focused role
  • Evidence of strong project management, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint capabilities
  • Knowledge of lean principles; Desire to work hand in hand with front line operators on a job site
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of construction a plus but not required
