We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Ortho Physician Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of highly skilled orthopedic surgeons and medical professionals, providing exceptional care for patients with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.

Responsibilities

As an Ortho Physician Assistant, you will be expected to:

1. Assist in orthopedic procedures, including spine, ankle, foot, and joint surgeries, ensuring that all processes are carried out to the highest standard.
2. Provide pre and post-operative care, including but not limited to, patient examination, interpretation of diagnostic tests, and wound suturing.
3. Work alongside orthopedic surgeons in the operating room, proficiently scrubbing and assisting in surgical procedures.
4. Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures.
5. Participate in patient consultations, explaining the potential benefits and risks of orthopedic surgery.
6. Collaborate with the wider medical team to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care, contributing to a supportive and effective work environment.
7. Stay updated with the latest advancements in orthopedic care and participate in continuous professional development activities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Ortho Physician Assistant position must have:

1. A minimum of 2 years' experience as an Ortho Physician Assistant, with proven experience in orthopedics, specifically spine, ankle, foot, and joint care.
2. A current and valid Physician Assistant license.
3. Proficiency in scrubbing and assisting in orthopedic surgical procedures.
4. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information to patients and their families in a clear and understandable manner.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions quickly in high-pressure situations.
6. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
7. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
