Job Details
Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in handling complex and high-stakes family law matters, including high-conflict custody cases and complex asset divisions.
Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and manage case files.
Prepare and file court documents, and assist with trial preparation.
Prepare financials, discovery, pleadings, and other legal documents.
Support a busy attorney with a heavy litigation practice.
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Maintain a billable hour requirement of 1,600 hours per year.
Provide support during mediation and settlement negotiations.
Qualifications:
Preferably 5 years of experience as a paralegal in family law.
Strong knowledge of family law procedures and court rules.
Excellent legal research and writing skills.
Proficient in case management software and legal research tools.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
