We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly motivated Permanent Paralegal to join our team and contribute to our diverse legal practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a team of seasoned professionals in a fast-paced, challenging environment. Our practice areas include Corporate, Commercial, Executive Compensation, Tax, Real Estate, Private Funds, Family Office, Trust, Estate, and M&A law. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in these areas, with a particular focus on providing high-quality service and delivering excellent results.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Paralegal, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:

1. Assisting attorneys in all stages of corporate transactions and with the preparation of documents necessary to comply with federal, state and local regulations in the conduct of business activities.
2. Conducting legal research and preparing memorandums, legal opinions, and legal documents.
3. Assisting with the preparation and filing of legal documents, including contracts, real estate agreements, tax forms, and estate planning documents.
4. Managing and organizing large volumes of complex documents; preparing, indexing, and updating document databases.
5. Assisting with the management of private funds, including fund formation, investor relations, and compliance matters.
6. Providing support to our family office clients, including estate planning, trust administration, and tax planning.
7. Assisting with M&A transactions, including due diligence, drafting transaction documents, and closing mechanics.
8. Providing support in the rapidly evolving cannabis law sector, including licensing, compliance, and corporate matters.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience in one of the following: Corporate, Commercial, Executive Compensation, Tax, Real Estate, Private Funds, Family Office, Trust & Estate, and M&A law.
2. A bachelor's degree in a related field; a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
3. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
4. Excellent research skills, including proficiency with legal research tools like Westlaw or LexisNexis.
5. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage large volumes of documents and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail.
7. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
8. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and to establish effective working relationships with attorneys, other staff members, and clients.
