We are seeking an accomplished New Jersey litigator to join our esteemed law firm at the Partner level. This candidate will be a tax attorney in either Tax Controversy, Corporate Tax, or Trust & Estates. LL.M. preferred. – Corporate Transactional Attorneys/M&A – the attorney will focus on representing businesses or high net worth individuals. We do not do any plaintiff work, it's all defense!

This position offers an excellent platform for a motivated individual to leverage their existing client base and network, to expand their practice and influence within the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
- Develop and execute litigation strategy, manage discovery obligations, draft pleadings and briefs, and lead trial teams.
- Proactively manage a substantial case load across a variety of jurisdictions, while ensuring your clients are provided with up-to-date legal advice.
- Actively participate in business development activities to attract and retain clients.
- Mentor and guide junior lawyers and staff, fostering an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and decision-making at the partner level to advance the overall direction and growth of the firm.
- Maintain an excellent level of customer service to ensure the satisfaction and retention of clients.
Qualifications:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar of New Jersey is required.
- Admission to the state bar of New York is preferred.
- A substantial book of business ($500K+)
