Are you a payroll wizard with an ADP certification under your belt? We are on the hunt for a Permanent Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about managing all aspects of payroll operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the payroll process, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, and providing exceptional service to our employees. This position will require a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of payroll principles.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Payroll Specialist, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
1. Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time.
2. Manage the administration of garnishments, 401K deductions, and other payroll-related activities.
3. Utilize ADP software to process payroll, manage employee data, and generate reports.
4. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
5. Assist in the setup and maintenance of multistate payroll operations.
6. Collaborate with the HR team to integrate HRIS and payroll systems effectively.
7. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
8. Participate in payroll audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
9. Stay up-to-date on the latest payroll trends and regulations to ensure the company's compliance.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
1. ADP Certification is mandatory.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a payroll role, preferably within a large, complex organization.
3. Proven experience with garnishments, 401K administration, HRIS, multistate payroll, and payroll taxes.
4. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
5. Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and reporting.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
9. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
