We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Nurse to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position offering a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive healthcare services to children of all ages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric care, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and rewards associated with this field. This role requires a minimum of 2+ years of experience in pediatric nursing, with a strong emphasis on medication administration, healthcare procedures, and patient education.
Responsibilities:
As a Pediatric Nurse, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Providing high-quality, compassionate care to pediatric patients, ranging from newborns to adolescents.
2. Administering medications, tracking dosages, and monitoring patient responses to treatment.
3. Conducting regular health assessments, including measuring vital signs and monitoring overall patient health.
4. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
5. Educating patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and appropriate home care strategies.
6. Responding to emergencies and providing immediate care to critically ill or injured children.
7. Documenting all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
8. Maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting the rights of patients and families at all times.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Pediatric Nurse, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
2. Current and valid RN License in the state of Washington
3. A minimum of 2+ years of experience working in a pediatric healthcare setting.
4. Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) certification is preferred.
5. Demonstrated knowledge of pediatric medications, healthcare procedures, and medical terminology.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
7. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound clinical decisions in high-pressure situations.
8. Physical stamina to manage the physical demands of caring for children, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
9. A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a commitment to providing the highest level of care to pediatric patients.
