Responsibilities
Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal, you will be responsible for:
1. Assisting attorneys with all aspects of litigation including depositions, hearings, and trials.
2. Preparing and managing legal documents, pleadings, and exhibits.
3. Conducting comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
4. Managing the docketing system and ensuring all deadlines are met.
5. Assisting in the preparation of law and motion practice.
6. Maintaining and organizing case files, calendars, and schedules.
7. Preparing for hearings and trials by organizing evidence, preparing exhibits, scheduling witnesses, and ensuring that all necessary materials are ready.
8. Drafting legal correspondence and other documents such as deposition notices, subpoenas, motions, and pleadings.
9. Preparing medical and trial notebooks.
10. Assisting in the preparation and presentation of criminal defense cases.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Hybrid Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal position should possess the following qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Law or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation.
3. Proficiency in legal research, legal writing, and document drafting.
4. Familiarity with depositions, legal documents, hearings, and law and motion practice.
5. Experience in docketing, calendaring, and managing pleadings.
6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Experience in preparing hearings, medical, and trial notebooks.
10. A paralegal certificate is a plus.
11. Previous experience in criminal defense is highly desirable.
