• Assist in neurosurgery procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care at all times.
• Collaborate closely with the Neuro Oncology team, assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with neurological cancers.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative care, including patient education, wound care, and follow-up appointments.
• Respond to medical emergencies, providing BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality guidelines.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) in the state of NY.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant, Preferred Neurosurgery or Neuro Oncology but NOT REQUIRED
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and team members.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound clinical judgments.
• High level of professionalism and commitment to patient care.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
