Plant Controller – Manufacturing & Operations

Overview
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Controller to support our manufacturing site. This key finance leadership role will serve as the primary business partner to the site operations leader, helping drive performance through accurate reporting, strong financial oversight, and thoughtful analysis. The plant is entering an exciting growth phase, making this a high-impact opportunity for someone who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the finance business partner for site operations leadership to drive financial performance and strategic initiatives.

Lead monthly gross margin and variance analysis, providing actionable insights on trends and operational drivers.

Manage forecasting, budgeting, and closing processes for the site, ensuring timely and accurate financial consolidation and reporting.

Analyze inventory, work order variances, purchase price variance (PPV), subcontracting costs, and asset management.



Oversee annual physical inventory and ensure integrity of standard costing and inventory accuracy.

Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, FP&A, commercial finance, and corporate teams.

Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain a strong internal control environment.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with lean manufacturing and operational excellence (TEOA-F or similar frameworks).

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (Master’s/MBA preferred).

5+ years of experience in a manufacturing finance or controlling role.

Strong background in cost accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing variance analysis.

Advanced analytical and Excel modeling skills.

Experience with SAP ERP and SAC reporting tools strongly preferred.

Proven ability to communicate and influence across levels and functions.

High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Familiarity with core manufacturing processes and terminology (e.g., supply chain, quality, inventory control).
