Our manufacturing company is seeking a Permanent Controls Engineer with experience in maintaining machine control systems, PLC programming, and troubleshooting automated systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interfacing with TCP/IP networks, experience using 8D or similar system, and knowledge of RFID tracking devices. The Controls Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the optimum performance of our machines and will work closely with the production team to ensure the highest quality products are produced.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and troubleshoot machine control systems to ensure optimum performance
• Develop and implement PLC programs for new and existing machines
• Work with production team to identify and resolve machine issues
• Interface with TCP/IP networks to ensure seamless communication between machines
• Implement and utilize 8D or similar system to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Develop and implement RFID tracking devices to improve machine diagnostics and tracking
• Train production team on machine functions and maintenance procedures
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime and increase machine longevity

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in maintaining machine control systems and PLC programming
• Strong background in troubleshooting automated systems
• Experience working with TCP/IP networks and RFID tracking devices
• Knowledge of 8D or similar system for root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
