We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Power BI Developer to join our team in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions using Power BI. The Power BI Developer will play a crucial role in our ongoing mission to deliver timely insights and analytics to our stakeholders. This role requires a unique blend of analytical thinking, technical acumen, and superb communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions using Power BI.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting.
• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate systems.
• Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses.
• Create visualizations and reports for requested projects.
• Develop and update technical documentation.
• Participate in business analysis activities to gather required reporting and dashboard requirements.
• Handle the product's or project’s conception, translation of requirements into an appropriate BI solution.
• Maintain and support data analytics platforms.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist.
• 2+ years of experience in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining.
• In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.
• Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI)
• Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.
• Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently as needed.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong understanding of the manufacturing industry is preferred.
