We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Preconstruction Manager to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead preconstruction efforts on a variety of exciting projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, with a particular focus on preconstruction. This role will require a strategic thinker who can oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of preconstruction activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
1. Manage all preconstruction activities, including but not limited to, conceptual estimating, detailed estimating, scheduling, logistics, preliminary project planning, and design coordination.
2. Collaborate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and clients, to establish project objectives, schedules, and cost parameters.
3. Develop and implement preconstruction strategies and plans, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and objectives.
4. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential challenges and develop mitigation strategies.
5. Lead the preparation and presentation of preconstruction proposals, ensuring they accurately represent project scope, timeline, and costs.
6. Coordinate with the project team to develop and refine project budgets and schedules.
7. Review and analyze project design and construction documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
8. Provide guidance and expertise on construction methods, materials, and trends.
9. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and efficiency in preconstruction processes and practices.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, with a focus on preconstruction.
3. Proven track record of managing preconstruction activities for large-scale construction projects.
4. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry trends.
5. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with project stakeholders.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues before they escalate.
8. Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on project needs and deadlines.
