As a Permanent Preconstruction Manager, you will be an integral part of our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in the early stages of construction projects, providing your expertise and leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our projects, working closely with clients, architects, and engineers to develop the best strategies and plans for successful project execution. This is a pivotal role that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of preconstruction, including estimating, bidding, and material take off (MTO).
2. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, and engineers to ensure their needs and expectations are met throughout the preconstruction phase.
3. Utilize your knowledge of commercial paint and drywall to provide accurate estimates and ensure the highest quality of work.
4. Lead the project bidding process, ensuring all bids are competitive and accurately reflect the scope of work.
5. Create and manage project budgets, ensuring all costs are accurately forecasted and tracked.
6. Collaborate with the construction management team to ensure a smooth transition from preconstruction to construction.
7. Identify and mitigate potential risks during the preconstruction phase.
8. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the progress of preconstruction activities.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a preconstruction manager role or similar position in the construction industry.
2. Proven expertise in commercial paint and drywall, construction estimating, project bidding, budgeting, and material take off (MTO).
3. Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
5. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and engineers.
6. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
