Job Details

We are seeking a seasoned Probate Attorney with a passion for providing exceptional service to clients and a comprehensive understanding of probate law. The successful candidate will join our dynamic legal team and will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of probate matters, including estate planning, will drafting, trust administration, and probate litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned attorney to apply their expertise in a supportive, challenging, and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

1. Manage probate cases from inception to completion, including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
2. Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw and other resources to ensure that our clients receive the most current and accurate legal advice.
3. Represent clients in probate court proceedings, mediations, and hearings, advocating vigorously for their rights and interests.
4. Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on complex probate matters, including estate tax issues, asset distribution, and probate litigation.
5. Collaborate with our legal team to develop strategies for handling probate cases, sharing your knowledge and expertise to enhance the overall effectiveness of our legal services.
6. Maintain complete and accurate case files, ensuring that all necessary documents are promptly filed with the probate court.
7. Stay updated on changes in probate law and related areas of civil law, and participate in continuing legal education to enhance your professional skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Active member of the state bar association in good standing.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a probate attorney, with a proven track record of successfully managing probate cases.
4. In-depth knowledge of probate law, estate planning, and related areas of civil law.
5. Proficiency in drafting wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
6. Strong legal research skills, with experience using Westlaw and other legal research resources.
7. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex legal concepts to clients.
