As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and improvement of the manufacturing process for our machine shop operations. Your primary role will be to analyze current production methods, identify areas of improvement, and develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production output.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with production personnel and management to develop and optimize production processes for the machine shop
• Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in terms of quality, efficiency, and waste reduction
• Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Work closely with design and development teams to ensure that manufacturing processes are aligned with product designs and specifications
• Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure that all products meet required standards and specifications
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process flowcharts
• Provide training and support to production personnel to ensure that they are equipped to implement new processes and procedures effectively
• Participate in the selection and acquisition of new equipment and machinery to improve the manufacturing process
• Conduct ongoing research to stay up to date with the latest manufacturing technologies and trends

Requirements:

• Experience in CAD or Solidworks
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering in a machine shop environment
• Experience with CNC machining, tooling, and fixturing
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices
• Experience with Six Sigma and other quality control methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
