Our company is seeking a Consulting Procurement Manager to join our team on a contract to hire basis. This role is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations by managing procurement processes, developing cost-effective strategies, and fostering relationships with suppliers. You will be responsible for overseeing procurement parts, procurement services, and procurement supplies. Your expertise in RFP, invitations for bid, transit, transportation, and proposals will be invaluable in this role.
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Procurement Manager, your primary duties will include:
1. Managing and overseeing the company's procurement processes and strategies.
2. Developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
3. Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure the best possible deals.
4. Preparing and managing RFPs, invitations for bid, transit, transportation, and proposals.
5. Analyzing market trends and applying this knowledge to procurement processes.
6. Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors.
7. Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
8. Collaborating with other departments to identify and fulfill their procurement needs.
9. Identifying and mitigating risks associated with procurement processes.
10. Providing training and guidance to the procurement team.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Consulting Procurement Manager position will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, specifically in procurement parts, procurement services, and procurement supplies.
2. Proven experience in managing RFPs, invitations for bid, transit, transportation, and proposals.
3. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop effective sourcing strategies.
4. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends and apply this knowledge to procurement processes.
5. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
6. Knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
9. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement processes.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other procurement-related software.
