Job Details

Lead design and development of new products including plugs, copper cable assemblies, and fiber optic cable assemblies.

Translate customer requirements into functional specifications, technical drawings, and prototypes.

Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses for new product designs.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, procurement, and sales to ensure seamless project execution.

Oversee testing and validation activities to ensure products meet industry standards (UL, RoHS, REACH, etc.).

Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the product development process.

Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence.

Stay current on market trends, new materials, and emerging technologies in the connectivity space.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.

7+ years of experience in product development within the electrical or cable assembly manufacturing industry.

Strong knowledge of connector and cable design, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent).

Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools and ERP systems.

Familiarity with fiber optics, EMI shielding, and environmental sealing a plus.

Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
