Responsibilities
As a Permanent Production Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the planning and organization of production schedules, assessing project and resources requirements, and ensuring timely delivery.
2. Implementing and managing the Safe Quality Food (SQF) program to ensure compliance with food safety and quality requirements.
3. Driving lean manufacturing initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance.
4. Leading continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance production quality, capacity, and efficiency.
5. Collaborating with other team members to develop and implement strategies for achieving the company's manufacturing goals.
6. Ensuring that all employees follow industry-standard health and safety guidelines.
7. Reviewing worker performance and identifying training needs to develop skills and enhance productivity.
8. Communicating effectively with all levels of the organization, including providing regular updates to senior management on production status and issues.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Production Manager role should have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in production management within the manufacturing industry, preferably in food production.
2. Proven experience with SQF, lean manufacturing, and process improvement.
3. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
4. Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to drive team performance.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
6. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization.
