Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bilingual Spanish/English Production Supervisor to oversee daily production operations in Brooklyn, NY. This role will ensure production efficiency, enforce quality and safety standards, manage team performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
  • Supervise and mentor a production team, including coaching, goal setting, and performance evaluations.
  • Provide bilingual (Spanish/English) training, direction, and support to team members.
Production & Operational Oversight
  • Ensure accurate execution of recipes, batch sizes, and production schedules.
  • Monitor workflows, minimize waste, and drive throughput using lean or similar methodologies
Quality & Compliance
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards (e.g. HACCP, SQF), sanitation protocols, and regulatory guidelines
  • Conduct daily inspections and ensure documentation of quality control measures.
Process Improvement & Reporting
  • Identify and lead process improvement projects to boost efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Track and report on KPIs such as production volume, labor usage, waste, and downtime to management.
Coordination & Communication
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Logistics, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Procurement teams.
  • Communicate updates or changes effectively in both languages to ensure alignment across shifts and departments
Scheduling & Administration
  • Create and manage weekly production schedules. Monitor attendance and staffing levels.
  • Support onboarding, maintain training records, and manage performance-related documentation.

Qualifications Required
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
  • 3–5 years of experience supervising production or manufacturing teams in a fast-paced environment (food, beverage, manufacturing)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Food processing or packaging experience familiar with GFSI-compliant standards (e.g. SQF, HACCP) preferred
Preferred
  • Associate's or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Certification in food safety or sanitation (e.g. NYC Food Handler) a plus.
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook), experience with ERP or scheduling software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or rotating shifts as needed.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands
  • This is a full-time, in-person role in Brooklyn, NY.
  • Must be able to handle physical demands such as standing for extended periods, lifting (up to ~25 lbs), bending, and operating in a food processing environment with noise, varying temperatures, and sanitation requirements
