Our Group was founded to provide structural engineering and management services to the construction industry. Initially, we offered a variety of marketing and management services, augmented by experts in various fields. However, the firm's continued work in the precast, prestressed concrete industry soon led to a specialization in that field. The ensuing years saw the scope of services greatly expand to include parking and transportation consulting services and concrete restoration engineering.

There are currently close to 150 employees throughout our Group. In addition to the offices in Mt. Prospect, IL, San Antonio, TX, Albuquerque, NM, and Longwood, FL, the satellite office in Horseshoe Bay, TX, provide additional professional resources. Our Group is an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company..

Job Details:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Professional Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their knowledge in a challenging and rewarding environment. You will be playing a crucial role in developing, designing, and overseeing various engineering projects. Your expertise in structural, civil engineering, and project management will be instrumental in ensuring the successful completion of our projects.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and supervise construction projects while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to engineering standards and specifications.
• Prepare, review, and approve project reports and drawings.
• Collaborate with architects, construction personnel, and other engineers to ensure project success.
• Use design software to plan and design transportation systems, hydraulic systems, and structures in line with industry and government standards.
• Perform cost estimates and manage project budgets.
• Manage and lead a team of engineers and other staff in project execution.
• Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.
• Ensure projects run according to schedule, budget, and project plans.
• Maintain and enhance professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
• Must possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license or be on track to obtain.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil or structural engineering, with a focus on project management.
• Proficient in the use of design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BIM, and other related software.
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
• Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software.
• Strong project management and supervision skills.
• Excellent mathematical, design, and engineering skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work with multiple discipline projects and demonstrate excellent project management and supervision skills.
• Proven ability to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required.
• Must be a decisive, action-oriented individual who learns quickly, works independently, and takes ownership of open issues.
• Must possess a strong work ethic, a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and dedication.
