Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. As a Permanent Project Accountant, you will be responsible for managing budgets, updating project status, managing vendors, and coordinating with clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Budget Management: Track project costs, update projections, and prepare reports for executive management.
  • Project Analysis: Analyze project financials, maintain project dashboards, and effectively communicate project status to management.
  • Contract Compliance: Review and manage change orders, vendor contracts, and schedules to ensure compliance.
  • Project Management: Participate in hands-on project management, including coordinating with clients, managing vendors, and tracking milestones to ensure receipt of deliverables.
  • Prepare, review, and report budgeted and actual costs for construction projects.
  • Conduct monthly financial reporting and project budget reviews.
  • Analyze and track subcontractor and supplier financial compliance.
  • Ensure state tax compliance for multiple construction projects.
  • Research, audit, and improve financial processes to enhance operational efficiency.


Background Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 1 to 5 years of accounting experience (construction cost accounting preferred).
  • Cost accounting experience in the construction industry is a plus.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Prior audit firm experience is a plus.
  • This position is IN-OFFICE only.
