Job Details
The Project Engineer is responsible for working closely with sales staff, engineers, architects, consultants, construction managers, diverse manufacturers, and to understand manufacturing processes to produce the requested design for interior projects.
Essential Functions:
Interpretation of architectural details and drawings
Effective drafting of designs for installations and fabrication
Responsible for ordering materials required for fabrication and installations
Project management
Effective communication in both technical and business operational terms (oral and written)
Field measuring
Produce effective hand sketches of existing conditions and proposed installations
Accurate data entry
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to fluently manipulate AutoCAD (strong AutoCAD experience required)
Preferred experience in Inventor and/or Vault
Read and understand Architectural Shops Drawings
Advanced Excel skills
Hand tool knowledge
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professionalism in a team-oriented organization
Willingness and ability to learn and grow
Technically adept
Highly accurate in mathematical skills, data manipulation and technical drafting
Ability to communicate effectively orally, in written form, and in graphics (shop drawings)
Experience & Education:
Bachelor's Degree (preferred in Engineering or Architecture)
Window industry experience a plus
Metal Panel /Slab Cover experience a plus
Curtain Wall experience a plus
3D Drawing ability a plus
Architectural façade experience a plus
