Project Manager -Construction/Fiber Optics

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a strong background in Fiber Optics to oversee our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing fiber optic projects from the planning phase through to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure project objectives are met within agreed-upon parameters.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute construction projects for fiber optic networks, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to a high-quality standard.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners, including contractors, vendors, and government agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
• Establish project timelines, budgets, and resource requirements, and manage project schedules and budgets to ensure costs are controlled and timelines are met.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure smooth communication, project progression and customer satisfaction.
• Manage project risks by anticipating and identifying potential issues and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
• Ensure that any changes to project scope, timeline, or budget are communicated to relevant parties and that appropriate action is taken.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety and compliance regulations.
• Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and management and ensure that all relevant project documentation is up to date and available.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years' experience in Construction Project Management, with a focus on fiber optic networks.
• Knowledge of fiber optic infrastructure, including design, installation, and testing methodologies.
• Proven track record of managing and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate project team members to deliver high-quality work.
• Proficiency in project management software, including MS Project and Excel.
• Ability to travel to project sites as required.
