Project Manager, Land Survey

As a Project Manager, Land Survey, the main function of this role is to support the survey team's operation along with managing resources for the office and field to meet production deadlines. We are looking for someone who can provide staff mentorship and guidance, manage multiple projects, maintain QA/QC checks and balances of mapping quality, track budgets and schedules, and manage and see projects to successful completion.
The Manager will manage staff and oversee all types of projects including:
Transportation Design, Right of Way Engineering and Mapping, design surveys, construction, ALTA Surveys, Topographic Mapping, Boundary Resolution, Records of Survey, Legal Description preparation and GPS Control Surveys.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Provide project management, technical oversight, and strategic direction, while accomplishing the strategic marketing plan objectives and achieving performance and profitability objectives.
  • Prepare scopes of work with associated fees and schedules, negotiate contracts including additional services, prepare presentations, proposals, respond to RFP's and RFQ's, and assist with recruiting, retention, and interviews.
  • Use your knowledge of land surveying/mapping to support the technical work of other surveyors, CAD drafters, and sub-consultants.

Education/Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of progressively responsible Survey experience
  • Proficient in industry standard software and management tools
  • Possess the desire and ability to develop and maintain industry client relationships in the San Diego market
  • Familiarity with state and county mapping requirements
  • Ability to work in a Team Atmosphere
