Project Manager

We are a general contracting firm specializing in the quality construction of high end, custom residences. We also offer remodeling for existing homes, build-outs for condominium units and commercial construction services.

Experience and Education:
· Preferred 10 years’ experience in the construction industry.
· High School Diploma or equivalent with 10 years’ experience, or College Degree

Responsibilities
· Obtains or possesses OSHA Certification
· Responsible for recognizing job hazards, and conveying any safety repots to onsite management
· Creates and enforces written safety training plans, while adhering to OSHA Standards
· Creates job startup checklists and conducts project kickoff meetings
· Reviews estimates and bids with Project Team
· Writes project specific Quality Control plans
· Has a sound understanding of Contracts, Construction Law, and Current Code
· Meets with owners on prospective projects to discuss specific needs
· Negotiates contracts/projects while maintaining Hemmer’s financial interests regarding margin
· Prepares estimates and proposes pricing to prospective owners for projects ranging from $50,000 to $50,000,000
· Prepares attractive spreadsheets, job-specific data, and portfolios to be used in the sales cycle of projects
· Assures weekly OEC and Subcontractor meetings are held, and that proper meeting minutes/agendas are recorded
· Attends preconstruction meetings as necessary to maintain constant contact with owners
· Ability to write overall project specific communication plans
· Obtains plans and specifications from owners/architect if appropriate. Reviews specs and plans prior to job walk to become familiar with the scope of work to be bid, including alterations.
