We are an established construction firm seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Superintendent to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion. Our company specializes in multifamily and commercial projects, and we are looking for a candidate who can bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in these areas. The Project Superintendent will play a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed. They will also ensure the projects are completed timely and within budget.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle and manage complex construction projects.
2. Manage the day-to-day working, utilization, implementation and technical consultants and subcontractors at the site.
3. Ensure that all construction activities within the designated areas are well planned, coordinated and be able to utilize all available resources in coordination with other Site In-Charge in the project and contractors.
4. Ensure project compliance with all building codes and legal or regulatory requirements.
5. Plan and organize project and tasks in regard to the construction process so that the project is completed to the highest quality standards, within budget, and on time.
6. Conduct regular meetings with the project team and the design team to update on the project progress.
7. Ensure the highest level of health and safety at site, including orientations, first aid facilities, etc. complying with both regulatory and corporate policy.
8. Work closely with internal teams to develop the project plan and strategy.
9. Provide regular updates to the project team and stakeholders on the progress of the project.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3-10+ years of experience as a Project Superintendent in the construction industry is required.
2. Proven experience in managing ground up construction and multifamily or commercial construction projects.
3. Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, OSHA guidelines, and building codes.
4. Exceptional leadership and project management skills.
5. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
6. Proficient in MS Office and construction management software.
7. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred.
9. A valid driver’s license is required.
