We are seeking a highly skilled Inpatient Psychiatrist for a locums assignment. As an Inpatient Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional psychiatric care to patients with a wide range of mental health disorders. You will work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of patients to determine diagnosis and treatment options
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with psychotic disorders, mood disorders, dual diagnosis, and chemical dependency
• Provide medication management and monitor the effectiveness of prescribed medications
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care
• Participate in treatment team meetings and provide input on patient progress and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health disorders and treatment options
• 10 patients per day

Qualifications:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Psychiatry
• Active state medical license
• 3+ years of experience in inpatient psychiatry
• Strong clinical skills in the evaluation and treatment of patients with psychotic disorders, mood disorders, dual diagnosis, and chemical dependency
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
