We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Psychologist with a specialty in Special Needs to join our dynamic healthcare team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, where you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality psychological services to individuals with special needs. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a range of psychological conditions, while also helping patients to manage their mental health. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of those with special needs and is committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to diagnose mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' specific needs and conditions.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to help patients manage their conditions and improve their mental health.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and therapists, to ensure the comprehensive care of patients.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and developments in psychology and special needs, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about mental health and special needs, and provide them with the necessary resources and support.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patients' conditions, treatments, and progress.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards in psychology and healthcare.

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid license to practice psychology.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a psychologist, ideally with a focus on special needs.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological theories, practices, and therapeutic techniques.
  • Experience working with individuals with special needs and disabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound clinical judgments.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals with special needs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines and standards.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
