This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing inspection activities, mentoring inspection staff, and ensuring all products meet customer specifications and industry standards.

Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily inspection operations on the shop floor, including first article, in-process, and final inspections.
Perform complex dimensional inspections using CMM and manual precision measurement tools.
Review and interpret blueprints and technical specifications; guide team members on GD&T requirements.
Serve as the primary liaison between quality, production, engineering, and customers for quality-related issues.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 or equivalent QMS and maintain all quality documentation.
Train and mentor inspection staff to ensure consistent, accurate inspection practices.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances.
Monitor and manage calibration and maintenance schedules for all inspection tools and equipment.
Coordinate with purchasing and suppliers to ensure incoming material compliance.
Requirements
Extensive CMM experience required.
Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5M—1994).
High school diploma or above; technical training or certifications preferred.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a quality inspection environment.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
