Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Title: Registered Nurse
Unit: ICU, Intensive Care Unit
Pay: $49.50 - $61/Hourly + Night Differential ($3.50/hr.)
Shift: Nights (7 PM-7 AM), Days (7 AM-7 PM)
Flexible Scheduling: 3x12-hours

Job Duties:

• Assesses patients according to the department guidelines and anticipates changes in patient status.
• Assesses and reassesses pain.
• Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management.
• Identifies and anticipates potential patient care problems and is able to identify changes in patient condition.
• Assessments are initiated and completed within the timeframe specified on the unit.

Must have:

• Current RN license with the California State Nursing Board.
• Minimum 12 months of ICU, Intensive Care, Critical Care, ER, Psych, Med Surg experience as an RN.
• Ability to interact with patients, families, physicians, ancillary services and community resources and supportive agencies.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality - HIPPA

Certifications:

• BLS
• ACLS
• FIRE CARD (within 90 days of hire)
• NIHSS Certification
• Arrhythmia/Dysrhythmia (EKG) course - preferred
• TNCC, and CCRN - preferred
• BSN - preferred
