Our medical facility is seeking an experienced and passionate Permanent Registered Nurse Radiation Oncology to join our team. As a Radiation Oncology RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in both inpatient and outpatient oncology settings. You will work closely with our team of medical professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care throughout their radiation treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in both inpatient and outpatient oncology settings
• Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist
• Monitor patients for any adverse reactions to radiation therapy
• Educate patients and their families on radiation therapy treatment plans and potential side effects
• Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care
• Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment for patients and staff
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of employment
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology nursing, with a focus on radiation oncology
• BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Knowledge of radiation therapy equipment and procedures
• Ability to handle stressful situations with calm and professionalism
