Job Details
The Relationship Banking Manager (RBM) manages a portfolio of commercial clients, providing tailored financial solutions to meet their needs. Acting as the primary point of contact, the RBM is responsible for acquiring, expanding, and deepening relationships while ensuring profitability and client satisfaction. This role involves leading a cross-functional team, collaborating with credit, treasury, and product partners, and executing strategic relationship management.
The RBM actively networks within the business community, sourcing and structuring commercial real estate and business lending opportunities. Responsibilities include assessing financial risk, underwriting loan applications, and presenting opportunities to leadership.

Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Client Management
- Identify and acquire new commercial banking relationships.
- Expand and manage a portfolio of business clients, serving as their primary advisor.
- Build and maintain strong professional networks with brokers, attorneys, and other referral sources.
- Cross-sell financial products and services to optimize client solutions.
Lending & Credit Management
- Source, underwrite, and structure commercial real estate and business loans.
- Evaluate borrower financials, assess creditworthiness, and negotiate loan terms.
- Work closely with credit teams to ensure sound underwriting and timely approvals.
- Monitor portfolio performance and conduct regular financial reviews.
Community & Brand Engagement
- Represent the bank in the business community through networking and events.
- Lead local marketing initiatives, including sponsorships and client engagement activities.
- Drive brand visibility and act as a key contact for financial solutions in the market.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial lending, underwriting, or relationship banking.
- Strong knowledge of commercial real estate, C&I, and SBA loan structuring.
- Exceptional credit analysis and financial statement evaluation skills.
- Expertise in banking products, regulatory requirements, and risk assessment.
- Strong communication, sales, and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
